I went on photoshop and was trying to crop a photo, changed the color. Please see above not sure if its correct but changes did take place it was a pink flower.
Good... now try using the levels adjustment to brighten it up without "blowing out" any of the highlights... Image>Adjustments>Levels or ctrl-l
